The Russian range of Haval is expected to be replenished: sales of Haval M6 crossovers will begin in the summer. This model is positioned as practical and relatively affordable, although pricing has yet to be made public. However, the “six” has the same image in China, because this model was created as a simplified and cheaper version of the first generation Haval H6 crossover.
Haval M6 debuted in 2017 and anticipated a whole range of “state employees” of this brand, but in the end it remained the only model with the letter M. At the end of 2020, the SUV underwent a large-scale restyling, and in this form it will come to the Russian market. Haval M6 is by no means compact: length – 4664 mm, width – 1830 mm, height – 1729 mm. That is, it is slightly smaller than the Haval F7 model and is comparable to the familiar Mitsubishi Outlander or Toyota RAV4 crossovers.
Therefore, a spacious second row of seats is promised. And the volume of the trunk is 808 liters behind the back or 1550 liters with the rear seats folded down. The front of the cabin is decorated conservatively by Chinese standards: there are analog instruments, a full-fledged climate control panel and conventional buttons. The body color palette includes only white, gray and black.
All-wheel drive, alas, will not be: only the front drive wheels. Haval M6 is equipped with a 1.5 petrol turbo engine, which in the Russian specification is derated from 150 hp. and 218 Nm up to 143 hp and 202 Nm. Gearboxes – six-speed “mechanics” or seven-speed “robot” with two clutches. Wheels are 17-inch only.
Of the equipment, ESP, LED headlights, a media system (10.25 inches), heated front seats, a rearview camera, an engine start button, cruise control and a set of electronic assistants are announced. At a price, the Haval M6 will be between the Jolion models (from 1.8 million rubles) and F7 (from 2.25 million rubles), but all the details will appear only in the summer, when the first batch of cars comes from China.
