On the second day of the first Test match of the series being played at Mount Manganoi, the Kiwi team started the game on 222 runs with 3 out and added a total of 209 runs in the innings.
At the start of the second day’s play, Henry Nicholls was dismissed for 56 runs at a total score of 266 after an addition of 44 runs.
However, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson completed his 23rd century in Test cricket by showing responsible batting and was dismissed for 129 runs.
After losing the 5th wicket of Kane Williamson for 281 runs, the New Zealand team batted a little cautiously and at a total score of 317, Machar Santner scored 19 runs and fell victim to Faheem Ashraf’s ball.
