In prison, Marc Dutroux found a new hobby

Sentenced to life imprisonment for the kidnapping and murder of little Julie and Mélissa in particular, Marc Dutroux has been behind bars for 25 years now. To pass the time, he has found a very special occupation: he plays detective and conducts his own investigations into all kinds of criminal cases, his lawyer told Sudinfo.

“He drew up a list of around forty murders and suspicious deaths in Belgium and made links with the network of which he was only a small part”, explains Me Bruno Dayez in La Capitale. Marc Dutroux focused in particular on the Nivelles gang, which is why investigators on the Brabant killings came to question him a few months ago. But according to his lawyer, Bruno Dayez, the interview was not a success because “Dutroux was confused and his speech was too incoherent”. Information that justice has not confirmed to Sudinfo.

In addition to these investigations, the criminal takes care of “writing his own truth” on his own case.
