The Meteorological Authority said that winds exciting sand and dust are now active in the west of the country and the Western Desert.
The authority added that it is expected to advance to affect northern Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo and the Delta with the progression of time, accompanied by a decrease in the level of horizontal visibility.
The authority confirmed that the raised sand appears pink.
The Meteorological Authority stated that the country will be affected today by southwesterly winds that raise the temperature to live in warm weather in most parts, and the activity of winds that excite sand and dust sometimes in areas from the north of the country to northern Upper Egypt.
The authority added that the cold air mass will soon enter the west of the country, accompanied by moderate rains on the western coasts and northern Lower Egypt, which are thunderstorms accompanied by hail sometimes.
And the authority continued: “The cold mass is advancing this evening inland and announces a decrease in temperatures and chances of rain of varying intensity, which may reach lightly in Cairo.
The Meteorological Authority explained that the cold mass is accompanied by a greater drop in temperatures on Thursday and Friday, and rain of varying intensity will fall in the north of the country, and wind activity that raises sand and dust in some areas, to live in a winter atmosphere with distinction.
