A historic snowstorm has hit the Buffalo area, and the accumulations over the past three days are impressive.

The snowstorm was concentrated in certain areas of the city of Buffalo, bordering Lake Erie, while other areas were not affected at all.
A Global News weather reporter reports that it fell nearly 200cm in Orchard Park, south of Buffalo.
A state of emergency was declared earlier this week by state governor Kathy Hochul. Motor traffic had been restricted on several highways.
Despite the warnings, several truckers remained stuck on the roads completely covered in snow.
On average, 180 cm of snow falls in a year in this region.
