More than twenty children were quite scared when their school bus left the road to end up on the side, in a ditch, Friday afternoon, in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu, in Monteregie.

The accident, which could have had more serious consequences, occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Principale Street.

According to our information, the driver would have passed straight to the place where he was to drop off a young girl.

By reversing to leave it at the planned place, the bus would have left the road, tipping on its side in the ditch.
Of the forty children on board, only one child suffered a minor injury which caused him to bleed from his nose.

The driver of the large yellow vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A second bus went to the scene to pick up the children in order to transport them to their respective homes.
