Extension. As announced to La República, the Minister of Education, Rosendo Serna, confirmed that the pedagogical days in public schools will be complete in 2022 and that each educational institution will have autonomy to elaborate the programming according to its context.
“The goal is to start the school year and classes in person in March. For the rural area, with greater presence and in the urban area, with the analysis and autonomy that must be given to the educational institutions. I cannot give a prescription to a school as if the country were a standard. The problem in each one is the product of the analysis of the context. What needs to be done is to strengthen autonomy, but to generate regulations for the UGEL to provide technical assistance and permanent monitoring, ”he declared to this medium.
The head of Minedu specified that the teachers will return to the classrooms on the first day of March at the national level in order to start the preparation stage of the curricular program and the Annual Work Plan, while school classes will probably start during the third or fourth week of March.
