In Niamey, this morning of July 27, shopkeepers raised the curtain later than usual. The day before, around 11:30 p.m., the army announced the creation of a National Council for the Safeguarding of the Fatherland (CNSP), the dismissal of Mohammed Bazoum – whom the latter had not officially accepted on Thursday evening – the suspension of the Constitution and the closing of the borders.

However, this is not not the coup that disrupted the activity of traders but the torrents of water that fell on the city. Because, from the first thinning, life seemed to resume its normal course in the capital nigerian.
