In Morocco, e-commerce is still on the rise – Jeune Afrique

A common platform for the banking system in Morocco, the Interbank Electronic Banking Center (CMI) recorded 28.1 million payment transactions in online on the more than 1,000 merchant and billing sites affiliated with it in 2022, i.e. growth of 35.6% compared to 2021.

In a report made public at the end of March, the CMI revealed that the Rising Global e-commerce transactions reached 9.6 billion dirhams ($938 million), up 24.3% year-on-year. An increase that corresponds to the dynamics of digitization of payment transactions au Morocco.
