The representative to the Chamber for the Andrés Forero Democratic Center is investigating whether the Health portfolio denounced the alleged falsehood in the resume of Pedro Santana, the health expert who has been presenting himself as a spokesman for the controversial reform of that sector.

Santana not only went out to explain in different forums the spirit of the controversial article, but also gave interviews to the media on the subject.
However, the representative Forero ensures that two universities certified that the spokesman lied in two of his academic titles.

Santana introduces himself online as a sociologist, philosopher and as a professor at renowned universities such as Javeriana and the Universidad del Norte, in Barranquilla. In addition, as spokesperson for the Follow-up Commission for ruling T-760 of 2008.

One of the certifications that would call into question Santana’s titles is one from the Universidad del Rosario, where he claims he is a Philosopher. In the certification of the University, it is said that Santana only attended seven semesters, between 1982 and 1985, then he left the race and did not obtain the degree.
And regarding the title of sociologist from the National University that Santana claims to have, this university assured: “Verification was carried out with the registration divisions of all the offices and no record of Mr. Pedro José Santana Rodríguez was found.“.
The resignation of the Secretary General
EL TIEMPO investigated and established that, in addition to appearing promoting the controversial articles of health reform, along with Minister Corcho, both appear constituting a corporation.
According to official records to which EL TIEMPO had access, on July 20, 2015, Corcho, Santana and 8 other people got together and formed the South Latin American Corporation.
A non-profit organization that presents itself as an expert in institutions public and private, construction of peace and consolidation of democracy, justice, participation and equity.

EL TIEMPO contacted Manuel Rubernoy Ayala Marín who had been serving as Secretary General of the Ministry.
When asked if they had been investigated and denounced before the Prosecutor’s Office the alleged inconsistencies on Santana’s resume, assured that he has not done, nor is he part of the official officials of that portfolio.
He also denied that inconsistencies have been found and reported in other resumes, as indicated by sources within that portfolio.

Ayala Marin He also denied that he was asked to resign due to an anonymous assumption once morest him.
However, EL TIEMPO has in its possession a decree, dated February 20, in which Minister Corcho accepts the resignation of Ayala Marín.
For now, Santana has not referred to the accusations made by Congressman Forero. EL TIEMPO has tried to locate him with no luck on his cell phone.
As for Secretary General Manuel Ayala, he attributed his resignation to the fact that the altitude in Bogotá was hurting him and that he preferred to return to his native Medellín.
