Minuto30.com .- A strong earthquake shook the night of this holiday Monday in several cities in the country, causing alarm among residents of some of the main Colombian cities. According to the report of the Colombian Geological Service, the 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:14 pm local time.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Pacific Ocean, near Nuquí, a municipality in the department of Chocó. Despite the magnitude of the tremor, the impact in urban areas was relatively mild, and the earthquake was felt in cities such as Cali, Medellín, Bogotá, Pereira, Dosquebradas, Manizales, Rionegro, and Armenia.

According to the reports received by the authorities, although the tremor was noticeably strong, many of the citizens who experienced it described it as a “soft” movement, with no major visible effects. No material damage or injuries have been reported so far.
