In May, the artists of Père-Lachaise open their workshops for free

In this month of May, the artists of the district of Father Lachaise come to perpetuate a long tradition by opening, as every year, their workshops. Unmissable event, these open doors will celebrate their 35e vintage from May 13 to 16, bringing together 33 visual artists this year. For four days, you will therefore walk along part of the 20e arrondissement – roughly around Place de la Réunion, to the east of Père-Lachaise – and have the chance to enter artists’ studios for free.

On the medium side, there will be a bit of everything, engraving, painting, sculpture or photography. For example, we spotted the cosmic sculptures of Alain Péclard, the works centered around the gaze of Wanda Savy or the portraits of animals soaked in mescaline by Marina Argentini. Among the other things to see are the photos of Julie-Edwige Lefebvre and Laurence Prat, but also theexposition kinetic art in progress at the Espace Monte-Cristo. But the best advice we can give you is to be curious, push open the doors and smell the fresh air of this artistic spring.

For the complete program, it is here that it happens.
