It is on this observation and because “75% of aspiring buyers would finally give up taking the plunge”, that Anthony Brisacq aims to revolutionize yachting. Neoyot, the company launched by this 48-year-old native of the Riviera with his 21-year-old son Mattéo, follows the “Don’t buy anymore, subscribe” concept. As for more and more services, streaming, shopping, delivery… But not at the same price. For this one, it will take at least 2,900 euros per month. Without taxes.
“Behaviours are changing. Subscription breaks markets by offering new ways to consume, to consume more. It already works for private jets and we are certain that it can also work in this other high-end sector. We want to simplify access to yachts, explains the entrepreneur. Today, you have to be a little crazy to buy one, between the cost of entry, at least 800,000 euros, the maintenance which represents a fortune, the berths to find and the constraints linked to the management of a crew. It is often said that you are twice happy with a boat: when you buy it and when you sell it. »
Up to 8,750 euros excluding taxes per month for a 20 m
Anthony Brisacq knows what he is talking about. This man with two lives, who began with the boards of theaters in Paris, where he was a director, has worked for more than twenty years on those of the decks of boats, from the Côte d’Azur but also in Miami or in Asia. . This “passionate autodidact” first created MYS (Mediterranean yacht services), a Monegasque sales and management company before innovating for the first time, in 2015, with Yachtster, a real-time rental app.
With Neoyot, there is no longer any question of renting. Users who can afford the service will in fact share their yacht, at the quay between Mandelieu, near Cannes, and Monaco, with four other subscribers, who will each have to pay between 2,900 euros excluding taxes per month, for a boat of 12, 5 m, and 8,750 euros excluding taxes, for 20 m. Not for everyone therefore and with twelve months of commitment, as for telephone plans.
“At this price, everything is included, the crew, the maintenance, the management in its entirety. There will even be a palace service, which will allow all users to find their habits, leisure and diving equipment in the same place where they left them, specifies Anthony Brisacq. They will just have to add the price of the fuel and the food they will consume, specifies the boss. For an overall cost 5 to 7 times lower than buying a yacht for a single registrant, and for roughly the same time of use. That is 30 to 40 days per subscriber.

Still with a constraint. “It is obviously not possible for the same person to block a boat for 30 consecutive days in August. It cannot be used intensively. But it’s all going to be done wisely. » An application will allow « Neoyoters » to have a view of the calendar and to reserve their slots. For more flexibility, before the actual launch of the service on June 1, the company is currently working to “build puzzles” with “the many applications” already received.
Industrialists, traders but also retirees from finance are in the running. “And you shouldn’t put only active people on the same boat to avoid limiting availability on the weekend only”, specifies the boss. Three boats, financed by investors, will be put into circulation in a few weeks. And the Neoyot fleet will grow gradually, with six other yachts already ordered for 2024, but also other company locations in anticipation, particularly on the Miami side.
“This new model, if it is well followed, should allow many more boaters to go to sea”, anticipates Anthony Brisacq. Traffic, already compact on the Côte d’Azur in high season, should therefore “mechanically increase further”. “We adhere to several charters to adopt the most responsible behavior by using only biofuels, for example. We will have an ecological role to play,” he acknowledges.
