The Cinema and Miniatures Museum will host a temporary exhibition on the world of Beetlejuice September 11 in Lyon.

On September 11, the Cinéma et Miniatures museum in Lyon will host a temporary exhibition dedicated to the world of Tim Burton’s film Beetlejuice, to mark the release of the second part, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

This immersive room highlights the talent of the artists and technicians who brought to life the film Beetlejuice (1988) as well as the new Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice (2024), revealing the unique imagination of Tim Burton.“, the museum says.

Original objects from the 1988 film will be on display, specially taken out of the museum’s reserves for the occasion. The museum’s teams have also conducted exclusive interviews with artists who worked on both films, who will share never-before-seen anecdotes about the productions.

The museum has acquired and restored 35mm film footage of the stop-motion transformation scene of the characters Adam and Barbara Maitland in the 1998 film. The original snake from the sand planet scene, animated in stop-motion in the film Beetlejuice, will also be on display.
