In LuxembourgDrunk, he drives in zigzags, all lights off

LUXEMBOURG – As every weekend, the police dealt with several drivers with a blow in the nose, in the night from Friday to Saturday.

The weekends follow one another and look alike, for the Grand Ducal police, who still had to sanction, in the night from Friday to Saturday, dangerous drivers due to excessive alcohol consumption. Thus, around 4 a.m., agents noticed a road user, rue Adolphe-Fischer, in the capital, who was driving in zigzags, with all lights off.

The police of course intercepted the vehicle and checked the driver. Unsurprisingly, he was well over the legal limit for alcohol and his driver’s license was revoked. And it wasn’t the only one of the night.

He admits to drinking

Thus, around 2 a.m., a motorist also attracted the attention of the police because of his driving, while he was driving on the N31 from Bascharage towards Pétange. During the check, the officers asked the driver if he had been drinking alcohol, to which he replied yes. Honest answer, but that didn’t help. The alcohol test confirmed his statements and his license was revoked.

Around the same time, other police officers noticed a driver who had challenged himself to make U-turns in a small car park, between Oberkorn and Belvaux. The officers once more checked the individual and noticed a smell of alcohol in the car. The test was positive and the motorist is now subject to a driving ban.
