In Lebanon, electricity “betrayed” the “security of embassies and administrations”!

The power outage from the Ministry of Information not only affected the work of the Ministry’s administrative offices, given that the Ministry’s building itself includes other vital directorates.

In fact, the center of the Ministry of Information also includes the National Council for Audiovisual Media, the Directorate of Studies, Radio Lebanon, and the National Information Agency, while the offices of the Ministry of Tourism are located there as well.

The most important thing is that the ministry building houses an office point for the embassies security apparatus, and it is now without electricity as well.

وعلم “Lebanon 24” “Contacts were made with Electricité du Liban to follow up the issue, and contacts were also made with the General Directorate of Oil to move in order to secure diesel for the Touch Company’s generator, which feeds the Ministry of Information with electricity.”

The Director General of the Ministry of Information, Hassan Falha, told“Lebanon 24” “The Ministry has become without electricity this evening, following the diesel generators from Touch Company, which feeds the Ministry of Information with electricity, ran out of diesel.”

Falha explained that “the official radio station in Lebanon continues to operate on batteries, but the extent to which this situation will continue is not clear.”

Falha pointed out that “in the past, the Ministry of Information was fed from an electric line that did not cut off much, but it was connected to another line that does not provide sufficient nutrition.”

Falha stated that “recent contacts were made to reconnect the ministry to the old electric line, because its working mechanism requires 24-hour electricity.”
