In Kyiv, clarified the requirements for Moscow in the framework of the negotiation process

The press service of the office of the President of Ukraine reported that Kyiv, as part of the negotiation process with Moscow, expects, first of all, the cessation of all hostilities. Ukraine also insists that Russian troops go outside the country.

“Donbass, Crimea, the cessation of hostilities – all this should be a subject of conversation. First of all, a conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia,” Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office, said.

Kyiv’s demands on Russia:

  • cessation of hostilities and airstrikes;
  • withdrawal of Russian troops to the territories on February 23, 2022;
  • the beginning of consultations and talks regarding the return of the territories;
  • return of control to the territories of internationally recognized borders.

Yermak also said that Kyiv and Moscow should decide how to build a new security system for Ukraine.

“We really want the hostilities to end as soon as possible. It ended with agreements exclusively in the interests of Ukraine. We must gain, not lose. We are talking regarding a new security system. There is no more time to wait, think. No more time to delay this decision” – said Yermak.
