Care must be taken to eat healthy foods such as fruits, fresh vegetables, brown rice, beans, fish, and lentils.

Added sugars are those that are added to foods or drinks when they are processed or prepared. And the US Centers for Disease Control and Control, through its official website, stated that natural sugars such as those found in fruit or milk are not considered added sugars.

Added sugars are named differently, and include brown sugar, cane juice, corn syrup, dextrose, fructose, fruit nectar, glucose, high-fructose corn syrup, honey, lactose, malt syrup, maltose, maple syrup, molasses, raw sugar, and sucrose.
