Japanese expert Hideki Wada called the age of 70 years a turning point on the path of human aging. He told how to maintain good spirits even following 80 years and named a product whose regular use prolongs life and improves mood.
The first thing he noted in his Toyo Keizai article is that an elderly person should always maintain motivation for activity and motor function, since movement is life. Decreased motivation accelerates aging. Old people who don’t want to meet friends go out faster.
It is important to engage in at least some physical activity in 80 years.
And to prevent loss of motivation, you need to include meat in your diet, says Hideki Wada. He noted that older people tend to eat lighter plant foods. But because of this, one in five Japanese over the age of 70 is deficient in protein. If the Japanese eat only 80 grams of meat per day, then the Americans – 300 grams. It is not necessary to eat that much, but 80 grams is not enough.
Eating meat helps the body produce serotonin, a brain neurotransmitter also called the “happiness hormone.” Without it, a person’s motivation decreases, depression, irritability and emotional instability occur.
The fact is that meat contains tryptophan, an amino acid that is a building material for the production of serotonin. The active use of this product contributes to the production of serotonin, which increases motivation. So it promotes activity, activity and prolongs life.
