Inhabitants of the communities of the Santa María and Santa Cruz parishes, in the Ribero municipality, both indigenous, denounced the delay in the food benefit of the Local Supply and Production Committees, which they have not received since last year.

According to the information given by the spokesman for the Indigenous Communal Council, Fulgencio Arayán, the beneficiaries paid for the bag in February and still do not have information regarding the delivery.

The situation affects some 3,700 families who live in the two parishes, which comprise four communes: Cacique Terepaima and Chaimas del Guácharo and two others from the Santa Cruz parish.

For his part, Lorenzo Vargas, another spokesperson for the commune, said that according to the information handled by the neighborhood leadership of the area, they authorized the offer of a protein combo with a chicken and a bologna, for 165 bolivars, but without giving any news. from the feeding bag.

They asked the governor to solve the problem, because the situation is quite hard for the families that live in these two parishes with an agricultural vocation and with difficult access.

In his program this Monday, Governor Gilberto Pinto said that there is certainly a delay with the execution of the Clap program in the entity, and that the Food Staff met with the minister of the area, Carlos Leal Tellería, to achieve the restart of the distribution of the bags this week.

He said that the entity’s Clap are not authorized to collect and announced that he will be in charge of informing when the trucks come rolling with the food to Sucre.
