In Germany, environmental organizations NABU et WWF no longer want to publish the names of their major donors

In 2019, the so-called alliance Alliance for Lobby Transparency was founded among others by Transparency International Allemagneover there NABU and by consumer and business associations.

Asked by the Weltthe WWF explained that the reasons given by major donors for not being named ranged from disputes with family members to showing hostility. According to WWF, scaring off donors would be a disservice to the work of environmental organizations. According to the information, these are donations of money totaling more than 50,000 euros per year.
