“In Rafah, I saw stranded trucks full of goods and humanitarian aid, far from hungry mouths and injuries. […] Preventing the delivery of this aid may constitute a crime.” The words of the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, this Sunday at the Rafah border post, surrounded by journalists and immobilized trucks, were eagerly awaited. International justice is so slow to act on the horrors committed over the past three weeks by both camps in this conflict. The latest being the bombing on Tuesday by the Israeli army of the Jabaliya refugee camp, which, according to Hamas, left more than fifty dead.
