In Fire Emblem Engage, a familiar face doesn\’t mean good news

Nintendo has just released a new trailer for Fire Emblem Engageconfirming a great ambition for the next installment of the franchise.

If it offers an unpublished story with well-defined issues, the next title d’Intelligent Systems will also call upon former heroes of the license, such as the famous Marthprotagonist of the very first Fire Emblem released in 1990 for the NES in Japan.

During his announcement, Fire Emblem Engage had everything d’un spin-off of the license which had no other purpose than to make nostalgic foot calls to the fans, but it would seem that the introduction Emblem Rings which allows you to take advantage of the power of heroes from previous games ultimately be at the center of a larger narrative. Thereby, the antagonists crossed in Engage will obviously be able to exploit the power of the Ringsand yesterday’s allies might well become the enemies of tomorrow (obviously unwillingly).

Unfortunately, despite a release date scheduled for January 20, 2023Nintendo has yet to actually reveal any gameplay for Fire Emblem Engage. We suspect that the title will be very different from the cardboard Three Houseswhose formula was already quite far from that of the franchise, but an overview of the operation new mechanics of the game would not be refused.
