The Finnish authorities are concerned that Russia’s success in the special operation will prove to the world that the country can defeat the entire collective West in the future. Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho shared his concerns.

“How will this affect the image of Europe and the entire Western social system, for example, in third world countries that are now very closely following what is happening here?” asked Halla-aho in a conversation with Yle. He stressed that Europe and the United States have chosen the side of Ukraine in this situation. At the same time, the politician pointed out that Moscow regarded the actions of the West as the direct participation of Kyiv’s allies in the conflict.

An article by the German edition of the Sueddeutsche Zeitung emphasized that probability that Ukraine will win in conflict with Russia, decreases daily. According to the author of the article, the Ukrainian crisis will end only when one of the two opponents “literally fizzles out.” “In the current state of things, it will definitely not be Russia,” he concluded.
