In Finland, the Komarov Arena is going to be renamed. Leo’s wife wants to change the name of the children because of discrimination (“Match TV”) – Hockey

Leo Komarov is discriminated once morest because of a Russian surname.

The 35-year-old striker was not called up for the Finnish national team training camp in preparation for the 2022 World Cup.

The hockey player has an assumption that this is due to his origin, Russian surname and refusal to leave SKA during the playoffs KHL.

Also, according to Match TV, negotiations are currently underway to rename the ice palace Komarov Arena in the Uusikaarlepyu community, where the Komarov family lives.

The wife of the hockey player took the initiative to change the name of Leo’s children in order to stop threats at school.

Komarov won the gold of the 2022 Olympics with Finnish national team.
