In dramatic events, a fraud of Rs.6 crore was prevented; Dubai Police honoring the Indian Gulf News | News from the Middle East

Dubai police honored an Indian man who foiled an attempt to defraud over Rs 6 crore (Dh 27,57,158). Keshur Kara Chavada Karu Ghela was honored for bravery. The fraud attempt took place near Keshur’s workplace on Monday.

When two Asians were walking with two bags containing around nine and a half crore rupees (Dh 42,50,000) in Naif area, the main accused and his accomplices stopped them and snatched one of the two bags. It had different currencies. As the Asians screamed for help, Keshur saw the thief running towards him with the stolen bag. He plucked up courage and caught the thief. Major General Tahlak said that following the robbery, the thief was laid on the ground until the police patrol arrived and arrested him.

In the delegation led by Criminal Investigation Affairs Assistant Commandant in Chief Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Major General Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, Jebel Ali Police Station Director, Dubai Police Council of Police Station Directors, Major General Tariq Tahlaq, Naif Police Station Director, Bur Dubai Police Station Director Brig. Abdullah Khadim Soroor and many other senior officials.

Major General Al Mansoori congratulated Keshur. He appreciated the young man’s efforts and courage to stop the thief and foil his attempt. Major General Al Mansouri explained that honoring Keshur in the workplace, among colleagues and neighbors reflects Dubai Police’s interest in strengthening the concept of community participation and strengthening a sense of responsibility among individuals. Keshur thanked for the respect.
