The manager of a well-known trapper who is alleged to be among the five moral perpetrators of the murder of police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, in Rentis, was sentenced to pre-trial detention after his apology.

It is reported that the accused apologized denied his involvement in the case, however, an investigator and prosecutor were not convinced by his claims and showed him the way to prison.

It is noted that the apologies of the first “wave” of the defendants continue for the large case file that includes serious charges for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis last December in Rentis, as well as a series of other criminal acts.

So far, the four investigators handling the case file have acquitted approximately 24 defendants (out of the 31 who were brought to court today) and five people have been remanded in custody, among them a 31-year-old man known by the nickname “Kokos”. According to information, this is a person with a serious criminal past, as he has been sentenced to several years in prison for a racist attack on an immigrant barbershop, in the area of ​​Metamorfosi, as well as for other similar cases.
