Crossing the threshold of Jean-Eudes Kacou’s plantation, at Tiassalé, a hundred kilometers north-west of Abidjan (Agnéby-Tiassa region), the uninitiated cannot say what is the featured culture. The pepper vines are wrapped around “natural” stakes, sometimes mirabelle plums, sometimes cocoa trees, and are discreetly integrated au countryside.
