Chinchiná was the municipality chosen for the launch of the From Doors to the Inside strategy, an initiative led by the first social manager of Caldas, Camila Castillo, and aimed at Caldas families with the aim of creating and strengthening protective environments where girls, boys , young people, women and men are in loving, safe homes and with assertive life projects. The opening was accompanied by workshops, training and even delivery of basketballs.
“From the inside is a strategy led by my office and seeks to make visible the institutional offer of the municipality, the Government of Caldas and the National Government so that families can grow in their socio-emotional skills and competencies within the home, with the aim of promoting loving upbringing, creating protective environments for girls, boys, young people, women and men”, explained Camila Castillo, first social manager of Caldas.
During the first day of activities, different workshops were held, among which Loving Parenting More Play stood out, which was aimed at girls and boys. Likewise, the beneficiary families of the housing program of the Government of Caldas had the opportunity to enjoy a training called Happiness as a couple and family to impact being and generate guidelines that improve family coexistence.
“It is very important to be able to accompany families, not only with infrastructure, it is also vital to provide them with valuable and valuable information that impacts being, that helps them to be happier, to generate healthy coexistence within homes,” said Mauricio Henao , speaker and coordinator of the Living strategy of the Department of Housing of the Government of Caldas.
On the second day, the office of the first manager of Caldas, was linked to the Subregional Fair for the Promotion of Local Consumption, with the stand of its strategy in which activities aimed at the family were developed.
The psychologist and child coach Carolina Molina was also linked to the day, who gave an educational workshop that was focused on managing emotions, and the life academy, with the Life Leadership workshop with which young people from the municipality were trained. from Chinchina.
“Training attendees had the opportunity to learn regarding emotional intelligence and its management. The ‘calm corner’ will be a safe space to learn regarding our emotions. Today more than ever emotional intelligence is a necessity”, said Carolina Molina, psychologist, creator of the educational proposal Cerebrín and its emotions.
For the end of this important day, the elements that will make up the ‘corner of affection’ were delivered, a space that was adapted in the Naves Cafeteritos toy library. These tools will be implemented in all the libraries of the 27 municipalities of the department.
“The ‘corners of affection’ will be used so that children and young people can visit them accompanied by their families. There they will be able to learn through different useful and practical tools regarding emotional awareness and regulation, as well as loving upbringing and family values,” Castillo said.
During the day, the first social manager of Caldas handed out 15 basketballs to girls and boys from the Club Promesas de Caldas de Chinchiná. The next municipalities that will receive the visit of this strategy will be: Manzanares and San José.
