In Chile, the herring king was caught, the fish is considered a harbinger of disaster

In Chile, they caught a 5-meter fish, which is considered a harbinger of tsunamis and earthquakes. The herring king, which usually lives at a depth of up to 1,000 meters, became the prey of a group of fishermen from the city of Arica, located in the northwest of the country. This publication reports Filo.news.

In the Philippines, it is believed that the one who catches such a fish will be cursed. Outwardly, as it is also called, the belt fish looks like a sea dragon. However, it feeds on small crustaceans and plankton while in the water in an upright position. It is not a commercial species, and the meat is considered not quite edible even for animals.

Despite the fact that individuals live mainly in the southern seas of the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans, in 2010, a 3.5 m long oar king was found off the coast of Sweden.
