“An the block, we see younger and younger girls having surgery…We are all concerned.” So Amandine Barea-Brossais, nurse in charge of the operating room in a private clinic in Cannes, wanted to act. “I always have crazy ideas, and my team follows me every time”, laughs the 35-year-old young woman.
His idea: to create a calendar whose sales would be donated to the League Against Breast Cancer 06.
In his department, nurses, but also female doctors and caregivers are up for it. Ready to reveal themselves – a little – to show their solidarity. So bank!
It was with Élodie, photographer at Le Tignet, (“la palette d’Élodie”), that the idea came to fruition at the beginning of September.
Sorority and femininity
It’s not easy to take off the white coat for these healthcare professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
“Photos aren’t my thing. I’m rather shy,” says Cindy, just before the session. That day, three nurses came to pose. Dare too. In the studio with its soft atmosphere, Cindy, Johanna and Émilie, in jeans, white shirt and black bra, must illustrate the month of September.
They even borrowed the department’s pink binders to hide their breasts. Good idea. Élodie guides them delicately. Also suggest a tight pose where everyone sticks together. Symbolic. Accessorized according to the seasons, her artistic black and white photos evoke femininity and sorority. Barely reveal the outline of a neckline. Resolutely favors complicity and spontaneity. “Some girls were more daring than others.” emphasizes Élodie. We took a very nice photo with paint on the chests”. In the middle of the calendar, there will be a page with more detailed photos.
Free printing
This charitable calendar in A4 format brings together solidarity. The printing company ID Goodies will give away 150 copies. “The calendar will be released at the beginning of October and will be sold for €10 minimum on my Instagram account mandinebarea-brossaisbblou but also in Kiabi stores. indicates Amandine Barea-Brossais. Next year, we are asking our male colleagues to create a calendar once morest prostate cancer!”
Never short of ideas and with a big heart, the operating room of this private clinic whose management did not wish its name to be mentioned.
