In big news for Pakistan, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board has confirmed the tour next month

Chairman of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board Twengwa Mkohlani has said that the Zimbabwean team will visit Pakistan next month.

The Zimbabwean team is scheduled to visit Pakistan from October 20, but due to the corona virus, their visit was in an uncertain situation.

With this series, Multan will host an international match after 12 years.

According to popular website Cricinfo, Tuengwa Mkohalani expressed hope that the team will get approval to tour Pakistan and an announcement will be made soon.

The series will be played in a bio-secure environment, however arrangements for the series are yet to be made by the Pakistan Cricket Board and will be completed soon.

The Zimbabwean team will be in quarantine before the series after coming to Pakistan and this period will span from three days to one week and the Pakistan Cricket Board is in touch with the English Board officials and the International Cricket Council regarding the arrangements for the series.

After the corona virus, England was the first country in the world to organize an international series and so far the English team has hosted West Indies and Pakistan as well as Australia.

During the stay of the Pakistani team in England, the PCB got some experience in this regard and keeping in view the protocols are being made.

Pakistan Cricket Board decided to resume cricket activities in August after 6 months due to rapid reduction in cases of corona virus in Pakistan.

The domestic season in Pakistan starts this month and the T20 Cup will be held in Rawalpindi and Multan before the series against Zimbabwe in both these places.

Zimbabwe is one of the few countries in the world where the number of coronavirus cases has not been reported and so far there have been less than 8,000 cases, out of which 224 people have died.

Multan last hosted an international match in 2008 and will host three ODIs and as many T20Is against Zimbabwe along with Rawalpindi.
