It is the meeting place for start-ups and innovative companies in Burgundy-Franche-Comté and an opportunity to highlight the successes of the local innovation support ecosystem. Led for five years by the Regional Economic Agency, the “Create Tomorrow” event was held Wednesday and Thursday at the Maison de l’Économie in Besançon, in Doubs. Around 400 participants were able to benefit from conferences, workshops or BtoB meetings during these two days under the theme of “innovation in the service of resilience”.

Eleven young start-ups who had benefited from regional support were brought together in an “exhibitors’ village”. Three of them were awarded the “Innov’BFC” prize. A trophy, designed by students of the Besançon Higher Institute of Fine Arts, was awarded to MS-Innov (Belfort) for its modular collaborative robot, Ummon HealthTech (Dijon) for its use of artificial intelligence in the analysis of cancer images and Clhynn (Besançon) for its platinum-free fuel cell. These start-ups will receive a grant of 5,000 euros each in the form of a communication pack adapted to their needs (video content, press insert, etc.).

Jean-Patrick Corso, president of Clhynn, received the “Innov’BFC” prize. The Doubs start-up which has developed a greener fuel cell is also the winner of the first promotion of “French Tech BFC20”.DR

First promotion of “French Tech BFC20”

The partnership with French Tech Bourgogne-Franche-Comté was new to this 2023 edition of Create Demain. A few months following obtaining the “French Tech capital” label, the network led by the BFC Numérique cluster invited 300 entrepreneurs and tech players to its first “French Tech Night” on Wednesday. High point of this evening: the announcement of the winners of the first promotion of “French Tech BFC20”, a system which aims to highlight “innovative nuggets” distinguished by their ability to “respond to the major challenges of sovereignty and society”.

From 59 applications, the jury selected 21, instead of the 20 initially planned. These companies, sufficiently mature to deploy their solutions very quickly, will be supported by partners – the State, the Regional Economic Agency, Bpifrance, Business France and KPMG – in their ambition for growth and development towards international markets. Among the lucky ones, we find eight young startups from Doubs: Archeon Medical, Clhynn, Farm3, Hyvilo, Livdeo, Percipio Robotics, Quarks and Visiperf.
