No one would have wanted to miss this first day dedicated to K-pop dance and cosplay.
Visitors were able to appreciate, in the first k-pop show, the impressive performance of the participants on the stage of the Barlin cultural space.
It is a real feat, with fluid, clean movements and remarkable coordination. “ This is called a battle where the dancers must perform the correct choreography according to the music that is proposed », explains Jérémy, the host of the show for four years. All the dancers knew the choreographies by heart, even the youngest, ten years old or less.
In the room, among the stands, we come across cosplayers in the costumes of their favorite heroes or famous characters, alongside others donning their own creations. For the Rokounis, the samurai disguise was essential. They were inspired by the card game The Legend of the Five Rings, a medieval fantasy universe, on the Asian side. These meetings add color and fun to the lives of all participants. It’s a hyper creative universe that gives free rein to artistic expression and the fact of being in costume brings people together and encourages exchanges and meetings.
Also a highlight this Sunday is the dubbing actors’ conference, between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Simon Herlin, voice-over for the mangas, and Emmanuel Rausenberger, who lent his voice to Attack on Titanwill delight fans of the genre. These two actors will be present all day. They will attend the cosplay competition for teens and adults among the crowd.
For four years now, the Barlin Matsuri show has offered new activities and events every year.
This Sunday October 27, 2024 at the Barlin cultural space. Price: 3 euros, free for under 10s and teen and adult participants in the cosplay competition. Cultural space in Barlin from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ng the cosplayers was truly remarkable. Each costume reflected the passion and creativity of the participants, from intricate details to handmade accessories. It was a vibrant mix of popular characters and original creations, which really enhanced the overall atmosphere of the event.
