Chaos on Bus No. 43: A Hostage Situation Like No Other

Well, well, well—if it isn’t Arkhangelsk, adding a bit of theatre to our otherwise mundane lives! Picture this: you’re just trying to get to your destination on bus No. 43, probably daydreaming about something riveting, like washing your socks or organizing your spice rack. Instead, you’re getting a front-row seat to a full-on disaster movie! Reported by the ever-entertaining Telegram channel, Caution, News, this strange escapade involves a fire extinguisher, some questionable decision-making, and a healthy dose of panic.

Now, if you’re thinking, “Is this real life or did I just stumble into a low-budget action flick?” you’re not alone! An unidentified individual decided that today was the day to unleash their inner demolition expert—fire extinguisher in hand, turning the bus into a scene reminiscent of a bad day at a circus where the clowns got too rowdy. “Smoke poured out of the bus!” they say. I mean, who knew public transport could have such crazy side effects? You’re not late for work after a traffic jam but after an actual hostage situation!

Passengers ran out like their lives depended on it, which, in this case, they did. The man took what could only be described as a “creative route” to evacuation—he thought to break glass with hammers! Now, I get the panic, but who’s handing out hammers on a bus? Is this now a DIY project? Bad enough tensions were running high without adding pointy objects to the mix. And in a riveting turn of events, someone thought pepper spray was the answer. Because why not add burning eyes to the mix? At this point, I half-expect a popcorn machine to pop up in the aisle!

Fortunately, the dramatic rescue operation went down, with passengers teaming up to become the Avengers we didn’t know we needed. The inadequately named ‘criminal’ (if he was smarter, he wouldn’t have chosen a bus full of people with the spirit of a thousand overcooked cabbage dishes behind them) was apprehended and taken to the police station—hopefully scared straight, or at least directed toward some therapy. Maybe he just didn’t get enough attention as a child?

But hang on, folks! The plot thickens! Just when you think this is the wildest ride, in comes the narrative of a Russian citizen nabbed in Bodrum for a different kind of chaos—a car bombing in Moscow. You’ve got to love the tight-knit narrative of international crime these days. It’s like all the world’s a stage, and everyone’s in the wrong play! The wanted man, Evgeny Serebryakov, got himself into hot water after apparently blowing up his car in unceremonious fashion. Talk about a way to up your driving game: “I’ve got to stand out in this traffic jam! I know, let’s detonate!”

Authorities reported that the explosion left a couple of pedestrians seriously injured. I mean, that’s not exactly how you hope your commute goes. That moment when the driver has his feet torn off is definitely not something you can shrug off with “Guess I’ll just walk it off.” This whole situation leaves one to wonder if your parking wall punching is just a simple day in Moscow’s driving curriculum. “Remember, lads, drive like you’ve got something to prove—preferably do it safely, except when it’s not safe at all.”

At the end of the day, you’ve got to wonder: Are people just that bored? Is this the best way to grab attention, by making a scene and playing with fire extinguishers on public transport? Perhaps we should take a cue from these chaos creators. Use your energy for creativity, folks, and leave the drama on the stage! Let’s leave it to the professionals—like actors and comedians. Who knew riding the bus could turn into a gripping episode of “Breaking Bus”? And with that, I’d say let’s stick to watching these spectacles from a safe distance, ideally while snuggled on our own couches.

In Arkhangelsk, an unknown man took a bus passenger hostage. About this reports Telegram channel “Caution, news.”

“About an hour ago, an unknown person, while bus No. 43 was moving along the route, grabbed a fire extinguisher and began destroying everything. Smoke poured out of the bus, passengers ran out, and an inadequate man took hammers to break the glass during the evacuation – he grabbed one of the passengers and began to threaten others,” the publication says.

It is noted that the victim began to scream, after which other passengers noticed her. They managed to save the woman – they poured pepper spray on his face and beat him. The criminal was taken to the police station.

Before this, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ali Erlikaya reportedthat a Russian citizen who committed a car bombing in Moscow was detained in Bodrum.

Evgeny Serebryakov flew from the capital to Turkey on a Pegasus flight. The plane landed in Bodrum at 9:28 local time (the same as Moscow). An hour later, the Russian division of Interpol provided operational information to its colleagues in Turkey.

On July 24, a Toyota Land Cruiser jeep exploded in the north of Moscow, injuring two people. The driver of the car had his feet torn off, and the passenger received shrapnel wounds. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the cause of the explosion was the detonation of an unidentified object. Law enforcement officers are considering the possibility of an assassination attempt related to professional activities.
