In Andravida today Nikos Dendias for Ramstein Flag 2024

The Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias will attend the Distinguished Visitors Day of the Ramstein Flag 2024 exercise at the Andravidas Air Base today.

The exercise Ramstein flag focuses on improving the cooperation and coordination of the air forces of the participating countries, with the aim of enhancing readiness and effectiveness in air defense and attack scenarios.

The exercise involves more than 130 4th and 5th generation aircraft, including F-35, F-16V, and Rafale, with 80 of them hosted at Andravida and the rest at Araxos airport. More than 2,100 people are working every day for the exercise to be completed successfully, while 12 countries are participating in it. These are specifically Greece, Canada, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

According to Distinguished Visitors Day (Distinguished Visitors Day), top officials, military leaders and representatives of the countries participating in the exercise are invited to closely monitor the military operations and tactics being developed. It is an opportunity for visitors to learn about the modern means and capabilities of NATO forces, as well as to see how air operations are coordinated at a multinational level.

In exercise Ramstein Flag 2024 many NATO member countries participate, with their air forces trained in realistic combat scenarios such as air support missions, airspace protection and crisis management. The Distinguished Visitors Day enables participants to showcase their capabilities, strengthen diplomatic relations and discuss with allies the results of the exercise and future challenges.
