The Russian Foreign Minister, Serguei Lavrov, assured this Friday that the negotiations with Ukraine to end the military offensive of almost two months are stalled, while the head of Foreign Affairs of the European Union (EU), Josep Borrell, attributed Vladimir Putin put the brakes on the talks.
The negotiations “have stalled, because the proposal that we have delivered five days ago to the Ukrainian negotiators, taking into account their comments, has not received a response,” Lavrov told a news conference in Moscow.
Meanwhile, the Catalan Borrell blamed Putin for the failure of the talks, and noted that, for this reason, the EU has no choice but to “help Ukraine defend itself. Work at the negotiating table? Of course, tomorrow, now. The problem is that Putin says no,” Borrell told reporters.
