In an official statement, Al-Masry announces the players’ “rebellion” and issues penalties

The Board of Directors of Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi Club decided to suspend the dues of players who are absent from training until they are subject to investigation, with a 25% deduction from the total value of their contracts.

Al-Masry described what is happening with some players in an official statement as a strange, unthoughtful position, which is a rebellion once morest the club, which was rejected by the administration, describing the players’ arguments as flimsy.

Al-Masry’s decisions were summarized in his statement as follows:

First: The first team played 44% of the total general league matches, while most of the team’s players have already obtained rates ranging from 60% to 80% of the total contracts, except for the participation rate that players obtain following the end of the season, which means that the players obtain Dues more than their participation in the competition this season.
Second: All the confederation’s rewards were fully disbursed despite the reservations of the board of directors regarding the misbehavior of some of the team’s players following the Nahdet Berkane match in Morocco.

Third: The Board of Directors confirms the continuation of the implementation of the decision previously taken to freeze three bonuses in the league due to the poor results, as the team has not won any match since December 2021 except for the Al-Ahly match.

Accordingly, the Board of Directors decided to impose the following penalties:
1- Stopping the payment of any financial dues to the first team in the future, unless all players absent from training today appear for investigation.

2- A 25% discount on absentee players’ contracts according to the club’s first team regulations.

3- The exclusion of the players Ahmed Shedid Qenawy, Farid Shawky and Ahmed Masoud from the Burj Al Arab camp and their return to training in Port Said, with their transfer to the investigation.

4- Preparing the distinguished elements from the youth sector in the club to push them in the upcoming matches and give them the full opportunity to be the nucleus of the first team in the club in the coming years.

The Council is in permanent session to follow up on developments in the situation.
