Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniakshared in an interview with Squawk Box (from CNBC), the unpleasant experience he had with the Tesla — which consequently made him disapprove of the company’s founder, Elon Musk. Despite this, “Woz” drew a parallel between the billionaire and the co-founder / former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs.
Recognizing that both are born influencers, Woz placed them in the category of “having the ability to communicate”. However, on the negative side is the fact that both want to be seen “as the important person and be like the leader of the sect”.
Many people will follow them no matter what they say and they go beyond the point of being judged. Many sects are like that.
Wozniak himself recognizes himself as someone who likes to “live and exist honestly”, which he does not see in Musk, since he promised many things that he did not deliver. Woz then spoke regarding his experience with the billionaire’s electric vehicle company:
A lot of honesty disappears when you look at Elon Musk and Tesla. They stole so much money from my family, me and my wife… with things they said we really believed were real.
By using the term “stolen”, the Apple co-founder referred to the time he was a Tesla supporter, in 2016, when he spent a lot of money to update his vehicle. He said he put a camera and radar on the vehicle because Musk had promised that the car would be able to run alone across the country by the end of that same year – which did not happen.
A year later, Musk once more promised that if the vehicle was upgraded with eight cameras and even more sensors, the car would drive itself across the country by the end of 2017. Again, nothing happened.
Because of the constant unfulfilled promises, Wozniak highlighted this as being the big difference between his late friend, Jobs, and the owner of Tesla:
Steve Jobs really wasn’t that dishonest. But he said things in a certain way… he just had a way of holding his attention. But he wasn’t such a liar. You didn’t buy something thinking you were going to get an “A”, but you didn’t get it.

Considering the history of both so far, do you agree with the co-founder of Maçã?
