Asunción, IP Agency.- The Vice Minister of Financial Administration, Oscar Lovera, pointed out that through Source 10 the continuity of the programs that were previously financed by Fonacide is ensured, in addition to the protection granted to the Zero Tariff.
Regarding the Fund for Excellence in Education and Research (FEEI), the vice minister indicated that since its creation in 2012, more than US$ 780 million were transferred and of which US$ 490 million were executed.
“That does not ensure that we will reach until 2030 financing young people who are studying and who are perfecting themselves both abroad and also in the innovation that they want to do with master’s degrees here in the country.”
Research incentive
Regarding the Researchers Incentive Fund, it is a program that began its second stage in 2022 with an allocation of US$ 84 million, of which there is a remainder of more than US$ 70 million.
“When we are talking regarding securing financing, in reality this financing is already secured for all these projects that are being mentioned,” stated the vice minister.
National Health Fund
Finally, the National Health Fund, another of the programs financed by Fonacide, has a budget of US$ 48 million.
This fund was created in 2012 and reinforced with a greater allocation for mental health care, the vice minister recalled. This balance is added to the US$ 780 million that are part of the budget of the Ministry of Health financed with Source 10.
