In a song Shakira included a verse that Osvaldo Ríos Grupo Milenio gave her

In the mid 90’s Shakira and Osvaldo Ríos had a courtship and were even regarding to reach the altar. The Colombian wrote some songs for the actor, which were included in albums such as Moscas en , but something that few knew is that Ríos wrote poems to the singer.

In interview with Gossip No Like, Osvaldo Ríos recalled his romance with Shakira and said that his then girlfriend was not the only one who was inspired by his love story to write, since he did it with poems that he dedicated to her.

“He wrote me songs that still move me every time I hear them. I wrote him poetry. I hope he has saved the book I wrote for him. I wrote her poems and she wrote me songs.

The actor explained that Shakira once asked him for permission to include a verse from your poems to include in your song I don’t think so.

“Sometimes I gave her a verse within a poem, and she told me: ‘Baby, can I use this verse for a song I’m writing?’ I told him yes, that is already yours, it is not mine. I gave it to you. She has this verse: ‘I want to be your firmament. From your mouth a song, from your wings will always be the wind. That verse she asked my permission to include it and it was a gift that I gave her.

Osvaldo Ríos also said that the song Flies in the house was inspired by him among others of which he has good memories.

“It was a very beautiful song that was written to me among many others that are already public knowledge, such as Tú and Ojos Así. “I practically keep them in napkins because she wrote on them. Shakira composes on airplane napkins. She at least she did when we were together. The muse gave her on airplanes and she wrote on napkins ”.
