The meeting between two committed men, driven by the same desire to serve the common good. One is called Jean-Marie Salvadori, an illustrious nephrologist, president of the Arnault-Tzanck Mougins – Sophia Antipolis private hospital company.
The second, Jean-Louis Noisiez, president and founder of the GSF group, a very discreet philanthropist, who has dedicated a large part of his fortune to medico-social sponsorship. Already 10 years ago, he chose to create a Foundation, which bears his name, to help people with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
And, more recently, in 2020, shortly before his death on November 1, 2022, he chose to commit to his friend, Jean-Marie Salvadori, for the creation of a center of excellence in cardiology, the Heart Institute. It is with great emotion that Jean-Marie Salvadori, also president of the association “Les Amis de la transfusion Arnault-Tzanck” paid tribute to “his accomplice” at the opening of the presentation to the press of this Heart Institute. “It is thanks to the generosity of this exceptional man that we will be able to build, at the heart of the Institut Arnault-Tzanck, this magnificent infrastructure of 22,000 square meters, including 5,000 square meters of technical platforms.”
The Jean-Louis-Noisiez Heart Institute (ICN) will thus be located in an ultramodern “sustainable Mediterranean” building (1) and will bring together all the activities of the ESPIC (2) of the Arnault-Tzanck Institute, already recognized as a referral center at the Paca-Est level for surgery and cardiac resuscitation. Michel Salvadori and Philipe Camarasa, respectively director and president of CME of the Institut Arnault-Tzanck, presented the main axes of this project.
“On a unit of place, will be grouped the whole of the offer of care and for all cardiac conditions, from the most benign to the most severe such as aortic dissections: consultations, non-invasive examinations, outpatient procedures, but also surgeries heavy and complex thanks to the most efficient equipment. Premises will also be dedicated to teaching, research and innovation.” Budget allocated to this very ambitious project: 110 million euros, and 8 million operating expenses. The Jean-Louis Noisiez Foundation, through the voice of its new president, Maître Lionel Yvant, ensured its “sustainable support”.
Important facts hammered out by Jean-Marie Salvadori: “ The ICN will be open to medical specialists from neighboring centres. And all the doctors who will practice in this Institute will be salaried; patients will not have to deal with overcharges. “The most effective care offer for the benefit of the greatest number: more than an objective, a raison d’être for the two great humanists at the origin of this project.
