On the occasion of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the country’s journey is a story of continuous struggle and ‘what has happened so far, we have to bury all that and decide on a new journey.’
In Pakistan August 14 Celebrations were organized across the country on the occasion of Independence Day. Addressing a central event in the federal capital Islamabad, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the journey of 77 years is a story of continuous struggle. The country which was prophesied that it could not last even three years, is still standing after 77 years and will last till the Day of Judgment.’
He said that though the journey could not be enviable, it had many mishaps, many blows to national existence, power struggles, internal and external conspiracies, our own mistakes and self-interests. Unfortunately, there was a decline in other sectors including the economy and we continued to falter.’
Addressing the youth, the Prime Minister said that today’s Pakistan is known as the Pakistan of the youth. You are our bright future, keep yourself away from corruption, chaos and deception, your mind is the target of hostile forces.’
According to Shahbaz Sharif: ‘The enemies of Pakistan are using every tactic so that Pakistan does not move forward. Our future is in your hands. He is compelled and intimidated by our nuclear power and invincibility.

“The enemy has started bombarding the minds of the youth of Pakistan with lies by using the weapon of digital terrorism. A lie can only be thwarted by the truth.’
The Prime Minister said that ‘Today we all need to think honestly and impartially and hold ourselves accountable. We must hold accountability between our past and present and learn from it and plan for the future.
“Though today people are worried about inflation, unemployment, electricity bills and other issues, but I fully understand it. How did you get to this point? We have to find the answer to this too.’
Interior Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that ‘We have to review our situation and decide whether we have to live in debt, live by begging or live the life according to Quaid-e-Azam’s orders for which Pakistan The exhibition came into being.
We have to bury all that has happened so far and decide on a new journey, which will be based on hard work, trust and honesty, so that every Pakistani considers himself a great Pakistani. Let it not be that a rich man’s Pakistan is a poor man’s Pakistan, lest there be weddings on one side and mourning on the other.’
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that in the next few days, the whole of Pakistan will get the good news of reduction in electricity prices. In a few days I will address the entire nation and present a five-year economic program.’
