Prosecution of 17 cadres under the Politburo, under the management of the Secretariat

Notably, in 2022, 493 new cases/1,123 defendants were prosecuted nationwide for corruption charges (an increase of 163 cases/328 defendants compared to 2021).

Especially, urgently concluded the investigation, prosecution and trial of the case that occurred at AIC Company, Dong Nai General Hospital even though the first defendant and a number of accomplices had fled. demonstrating the strictness of the law, which is widely agreed and appreciated by the public. Regarding the case that occurred at Viet A Company, so far, 24 localities have prosecuted 27 cases/68 defendants.

Concluding the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized that, over the past 10 years, the fight against corruption and negativity has deepened, the determination is getting higher and higher, and the ways of doing things have become more and more methodical.
