In 1983, there was Aju Varghese in Action Hero; But then had to retreat: Abrid Shine

A handful of actors including Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese entered Malayalam cinema through Malavadi Arts Club, which was released 12 years ago under the direction of Vineeth Srinivasan.

Later, many films where Nivin and Aju came together were received with open arms by the audience. But Abrid Shine is answering the question why Aju Varghese is not in the films released in collaboration with Abrid Shine Nivin.

Ebrid Shine clarified this in an interview given to Reporter TV regarding the promotion of Mahaviryar, where the two are teaming up after 1983 and action hero Biju.

Abrid Shine says that Nivin had cast Aju in 1983 and Aju had shot for one day. But later Aju couldn’t complete it due to date issues, adds Abrid Shine.

In 1983, Aju was cast after Nivin told him. One day Aju came and acted. The film was shot in the character’s 40s. Aju acted in only a few parts of this 40-year-old and later Aju could not complete it due to date problems. Similarly, Aju was cast in the action hero Biju. But it was still a date clash so I couldn’t act too.’; Abrid Shine says.

Abrid Shine also adds that Aju didn’t have the right roles in Mahaveeryar. Mahaveeryar will hit theaters on July 21. Mahaveeryar is Nivin Pauly’s next film after Moothon.

Asif Ali, Lal, Lalu Alex, Siddique, Shanvi Srivastava, Vijay Menon, Major Ravi, Mallika Sukumaran, Sudhir Karamana, Krishna Prasad, Padmarajan Ratheesh, Sudhir Paravoor, Kalabhavan Prajod, Pramod Veliyanad, Shailaja P. Ambu and other leading actors are also lined up in this film.

Famous writer M. Mukundan’s story is also scripted by Abrid Shine. Cinematography by state award winner Chandru Selvaraj has music and background score composed by Ishaan Chhabra.

Cinematography by Manoj, sound mixing by Vishnu Govind, Sri Shankar, art direction by Anees Natodi, costume design by Chandrakant, Melvi. J, Chamayam Libin Mohanan and chief co-director Baby Panicker are other cast members.
