The purpose of the UAinEU trip is to remind the world that a brutal and barbaric war is taking place in the civilized world and to say loudly that Ukraine is welcome in the European family. The trip also had one tangible goal – throughout it, money was collected for personal anti-drone systems manufactured in Lithuania.
A long and precisely planned route
“Since the start of the full-fledged war, I have gone to Ukraine more than sixty times, but as the third year of the invasion has passed, this topic has become less and less important to people. Unfortunately, the situation on the front line has not improved at all. We sit quietly and warmly at the common family table while determined soldiers fight in the cold and damp trenches. We have to be happy not only for the warmth in a quiet house, but also for the fact that we can all sit at the table together”, said A. Bubinas after returning from the trip.
The start of the route was not chosen by chance – the first meters of the journey were covered near the largest concentration and extermination camp of Nazi Germany in Auschwitz (Auschwitz), and on the transferred map of Ukraine this place coincides with Kharkiv, where the enemy has been committing genocide for the third year. In eight days, the traveler covered 6,540 kilometers on the CFMOTO 800MT motorcycle and spent a total of 109 hours and 27 minutes on the road. During the week, the rider collected kilometers in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium and Holland.
The traveler says that while driving off the highways, he discovered particularly beautiful roads and places that he had not yet visited. We also had to get caught in a storm, during which not only all the traffic stopped, but it was difficult to stop the motorcycle.
Speaking about the challenges on the road, A. Bubinas mentions that nothing serious happened, apart from the endless road works, which made it necessary to keep looking for the nearest detour in order to deviate as little as possible from the planned route: “Before starting, I spent several evenings with the map, trying to reproduce the outline of Ukraine as accurately as possible using the well-developed European road network. Each deviation from the road became a certain inaccuracy, but it was still possible to maintain an error of no more than about 30 kilometers from the true contour.”

4,476.98 euros were collected during the campaign. Commenting on a lot of this or a little, the traveler says that he always wants more, he always wants everything here and now, so that only those people can return peacefully and spend the night in their soft beds and not behind barbed wire.
“But if the money you raise saves even one soldier’s life, I will say that this ride was not in vain.” Human life is priceless and cannot be measured, neither in euros nor in kilometers traveled. With the collected money, it will be possible to buy two anti-drone systems and smaller items needed by the soldiers. Many thanks to the sponsors of the ride, Motorider, who not only provided the motorcycle, but also covered all the expenses of the trip. Therefore, all collected money will be used purposefully”, said A. Bubinas
