PACHUCA DE SOTO, DEC 31/NEWS HIDALGO/.- The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Hidalgo, in 2022 carried out a total of one million 604 thousand 402 consultations, where one million 288 thousand 712 were Family Medicine, while 315 thousand 690 Specialty consultations were granted .
The Specialty consultations that had the greatest demand were: Gynecology with 38,485; Internal Medicine 39 thousand 159 and Traumatology and Orthopedics 26 thousand 050, pointed out Dr. Adriana Lorena Bustamante Cruz, head of the Headquarters of Medical Benefits Services.
Likewise, he pointed out that regarding the surgical processes during this 2022, 14 thousand 615 were carried out; of which 5 thousand 687 were from General Surgery; 3 thousand 514 of Obstetrics; thousand 624 of Gynecology; 909 Urology; 850 Ophthalmology; 820 ranks first nationally. In the Look me in the eyes Program; 540 Surgical Oncology; 183 Otolaryngology; 173 Pediatric Surgery and 135 Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition, during this year, under the motto “With the Eagle Well Posted” a total of 20 National Days of Continuity of Medical Services were held, where 2 thousand 477 Family Medicine consultations were obtained; 2 thousand 271 Specialty; 275 Stomatology; 3,538 detections made of chronic-degenerative diseases such as diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension; thousand 853 PrevenIMSS Checkup and 257 Surgeries performed.
A total of 359,495 PrevenIMSS Check-ups were carried out, where self-care actions are strengthened and promoted to preserve health, prevent and control chronic-degenerative conditions, in addition to promoting the detection and prevention of diseases, through the CHKT Online .
Likewise, Bustamante Cruz highlighted that in 2022 the IMSS in the state received nominations from three medical units in the “Boy and Girl Friendly Unit Initiative”, the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 15 of Apan, the UMF No. 32 of southern Pachuca and UMF 35 La Colonia.
In addition, the IMSS in Hidalgo was part of the 24/7 National Emergency Strategy, in which 69 advisory and follow-up visits have been made for its implementation, managing to reduce the percentage of prolonged stays in the Emergency service.
It also participated in the Hospital 360 program, with the implementation of this strategy the percentage of hospital occupancy was improved, which favors the opportunity of beds for the care of the beneficiaries.
The headline emphasized that this year she participated in the Digital Consultation and Look me in the eyes Program, where the Representation in Hidalgo participated with 60% of the Family Medicine Units and ranked first nationwide, in the Look me in the eyes Program , which improves the quality and speeds up the process, thanks to the use of Information and Communication Technologies.
