The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Puebla creates recreational spaces and presents four classrooms that have sound insulation. This, for carrying out activities aimed at resident doctors of the different specialties that are prepared at the General Hospital of the Zone (HGZ) No. 20 of “La Margarita”.

A playful space conditioned to carry out activities such as: music, board games and educational video games. Which allow to clear the mind after a day in medical care in the hospital.
It is an atmosphere that gives students a sense of belonging, since it is not only about offering cutting-edge academic subjects. Activities should also be developed that remove them from stress and work saturation. With a life project, so that from the moment they enter they feel comfortable in the exercise of their profession, with pride and passion, always taking into account where they graduated from.
Likewise, this playful classroom is a symbolic gesture to improve the teaching-learning process. Promoting the integration of students through interaction in a hospital of such magnitude, as is “La Margarita”. Which allows you to make your stay an enriching experience in every way.

These educational spaces mean enjoying life through the value of shared play as part of learning, which helps improve their attitude. In addition to sustaining their efforts for the formation and transformation of resolution capacities, and technical-intellectual skills in competition. So that they can practice medicine with quality and warmth in the treatment they provide to beneficiaries.
Currently in the HGZ No. 20 “La Margarita” has 17 specialties for the training of resident doctors, each with its own professor and adjunct professors. The teaching-learning process, according to its operational program, is carried out in the hospital and with the support of the teachers. Graduated specialists graduate with a completed thesis and completion of medical writing to be published in medical-scientific journals, placing themselves at the forefront for new generations.
The commitment is to prepare young people who will be the future of medicine and research, who learn to wear a gown with the IMSS logo and realize the importance of being part of the white army, generating affection and respect for our colors.
The IMSS is experiencing a time of continuous training and digitalization, for health personnel in interactive classrooms, both in education and research, and to position itself in the first places at the national level. Undoubtedly, this new stage with recreational spaces will be a watershed for medical education in Puebla and the country.
