LAHORE – Wife Bushra Bivi has alleged that former Prime Minister Imran Khan (70) is not safe in Attock Jail and there is a possibility of poisoning him. In a letter sent to the Home Secretary of Pakistan’s Punjab Province, they demanded that he be transferred to a jail with better facilities. The order of the court is to keep him in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail. Bushra said that there have been two assassination attempts against Imran before and those accused have not been caught. In the letter, Imran was in the worst condition in the jail and requested to be given B class facility.
Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which shared concerns that Imran could be endangered by adding poison to his food, also demanded that home food and water be allowed in the jail. The former Prime Minister of Pakistan, who was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment in the Tosha Khana corruption case, was jailed on the 5th of this month.
