The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team reached the accountability court to file a reference against Chairman PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the 190 million pounds corruption case. Where after checking the registrar’s office, a reference of 190 million pounds corruption was filed by NAB against Chairman PTI.
Chairman PTI was named accused in the reference by NAB. Apart from Imran Khan, 8 accused including his wife Bushra Bibi, Zulfi Bukhari and Shahzad Akbar have been named in the reference.
According to sources, Farah Gogi has also been named accused. Apart from this, the name of Barrister Zia-ul-Mustafa Naseem is also included in the list of accused.
Chairman PTI and Shahzad Akbar have been accused of collusion in the 190 million pounds corruption reference filed by NAB. According to the reference, Shahzad Akbar produced the misleading note on December 2, 2019. The account of the Registrar Supreme Court was revealed to be the account of the State of Pakistan and Chairman PTI was aware of the whole plan.
It has been stated in the reference that Chairman PTI had taken 458 kanals of land from the co-accused. When the land was given, the Al-Qadir Trust did not exist. By benefiting the Chairman PTI, the co-accused became the sole beneficiary of 171 million pounds out of 190.
NAB in its reference further said that the record proved that the land purchased by the co-accused in 2019 was transferred to Zulfi Bukhari. NAB has requested that the accused should be tried and punished in the reference.
Apart from this, NAB has also attached the arrest warrants of Chairman PTI and Mirza Shahzad Akbar with the reference. Apart from this, the arrest warrants of Zia Mustafa, Farah Gogi and Zulfi Bukhari are also part of the reference.
It should be noted that the petition for bail was filed yesterday in the 190 million pounds corruption case on behalf of Chairman PTI after his arrest. The petition filed by lawyers Latif Khosa, Intarz Panjutha and Ali Ijaz was filed in the Accountability Court Islamabad, in which the Chairman NAB and the Director General NAB were made parties.
In the petition filed by Chairman PTI, it has been stated that the petitioner has been a former Prime Minister and a well-known cricketer. The reputation of Chairman PTI is being damaged on political grounds. The court is requested to grant post-arrest bail pending the verdict in the £190 million scam case.
